The Tree of Life
In the entrance of Temple Judea, there is a golden “Tree of Life”, which almost fills the entire left wall. It tells a silent story of love, blessings, and simcha, that our members have experienced. Add a leaf or an acorn to our tree, or place a rock at its base for that special birthday or anniversary, for that new grandchild, for an honor you’ve received — or for any reason that is important to you. We need you to be a part of our Temple Family Tree. Please contact the Temple Office for details.
Sanctuary Seat Dedication Program
If you have been in the Sanctuary recently, you may have seen a number of tastefully engraved plaques on the back of some seats. This program affords you the opportunity to memorialize a loved one, honor yourself or a member of your family, or commemorate a special occasion while providing much needed financial support to the Temple.
The cost for the seat plaques are $500 for the pew seats and $1,000 for the Bema seats. If necessary, payment may be made over a two year period. Please be aware that our Temple policy of having no reserved seats is unchanged by this program.
For more information, or to reserve your plaque, please contact Julius Schwartz at (949) 458-7148 or leave a message for him at the Temple Office or click the following link for a Sanctuary Seat Dedication Form to print out and fax back to the Temple: Sanctuary Seat Dedication Form

Memorial Plaques
As you enter Temple Judea, you notice that the walls hold memorial plaques for the deceased loved ones of congregants. At the Yahrzeit, the plaque is lit and the congregant is notified of the date. To purchase a plaque with your inscription, contact the Temple Office.

Prayer Books
When you are thinking of making a gift to celebrate a simcha, such as a birthday or anniversary, a prayer book (Siddur) is an unusual and much appreciated gift. A bookplate is placed inside the cover, indicating the donor and occasion. The prayer book will be held in the sanctuary for general use or kept by the individual being honored. For more information, please contact the Temple Office.
Additional Ways to Support Temple Judea
Temple Contributions
We provide outstanding services – Rabbi, Cantors, Professional Choir, Social Services, Lectures, Classes, Friendship, Havurot, and much more. All this costs much more than our income from your membership. Our dues are much lower than any other full-service synagogue with a beautiful building. Just as your expenses are rising, so do ours. The need for increased security will increase expenses also. You can choose where your money goes. The choices include:
– Religious Purposes
– Torah Maintenance Fund
– Membership Support Fund
– Shabbat Kiddush Lunch Fund
– Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund
Your help is needed! Please be generous.

eScrip
Shop & dine at popular locations while helping the Temple. Join this free fundraising program. “What is eScrip?” It is a fund raising national program, free to non-profit organizations and schools. Temple Judea has been involved in this program for several years. All that is required is to fill out a very simple form at the Temple or call me and I’ll do it for you (Chuck Hershkowitz 949-916-9772).
When you do your regular shopping at any of the eScrip merchants using your Von’s Club card, Ralph’s, Macy’s, Pep Boys, Big 5 Sporting Goods, or dine at Carrows or Coco’s restaurants or do any business with selected other eScrip merchants in this or other areas, a contribution is made to the Temple. It doesn’t get any easier than that. It’s all automation and VERY secure. Remember, get your friends and family to join us in this great FREE program and that will be helping Temple Judea.
