Rabbi Dennis Linson
Rabbi Linson, a native Californian, is a graduate of University of California Berkeley, Golden Gate University, and American Jewish University (formerly University of Judaism). He holds a degree in Near Eastern languages, advanced degrees in Rabbinic Studies, Business, & Healthcare Services & he also has an extensive business background.
Upon completion of his studies at the Zeigler School of Rabbinic Studies, Rabbi Linson was ordained by the Conservative movement and has served as Temple Judea’s Rabbi since 2006. He has also become the Temple’s Executive Director leading our effective administrative operations.
Rabbi Linson and his wife Sima are both very active in our Temple Judea family. Rabbi & Sima lived in Irvine for many years & have recently relocated to Aliso Viejo. They are parents of three grown children.

Cantor Josef Chazan
Raised in Israel, Cantor Chazan studied at the Conservatory of Music in Tel Aviv, sang with the Rinat Chamber Choir & performed in musical theatre throughout Israel, Europe & the U.S.
In 1973 Cantor Chazan moved to the U.S. where he received his cantorial training at Congregation Eilat, assuming the position of cantor there. He was commissioned as “Hazzan Minister” in 1990 & became a member of the Cantors Assembly in 1997. His fine bass voice and impeccable Hebrew phraseology may be appreciated at our Shabbat & holiday services.
Cantor Chazan and his wife Linda reside in Laguna Beach & are parents of two grown children.

Cantorial Soloist Susan Kotses
Raised in Irvine, CA, Susan Kotses, our Cantorial Soloist, amazes our members with her powerful voice. Susan does not need a microphone to fill our sanctuary with her impressive vocal range.
Susan holds a Master of Arts Management degree, a Master of Music degree as well as a Bachelor of Music degree. Susan currently is serving as the Director of Education & Community Engagement with the Pacific Symphony here in Orange County.
In addition to these responsibilities, she is a free-lance classical singer and works as voice teacher. She speaks French and translates French to English and possesses basic proficiency in Italian and German. She is also studying Hebrew to enhance her Torah reading skills.
Susan fulfills her Cantorial soloist duties on Friday evenings at Temple Judea along with the choir and shares responsibilities with Cantor Chazan for our High Holy Day Services.
Susan and her husband Nick live in Tustin. She is excited to be a member of our community. We are blessed she has chosen to share her musical gifts with us. Come Fridays & say hello.
